To meet the sustainability challenges of the 21st century, The City College of New York offers a new graduate program, Sustainability in the Urban Environment, leading to the degree of Master of Science in Sustainability. This innovative, interdisciplinary program is offered jointly by the Spitzer School of Architecture, The Grove School of Engineering and the City College Science Division. It draws upon emerging approaches in each of the disciplines of architecture, engineering and science, and prepares students to adapt old, and advance new generations of buildings, open spaces and urban infrastructure. Prof. Hillary Brown is the coordinator for this program in the SSA
